(Of course, being the gillsfreak I am, I HAD to make someone with gills huuhuu)

There once was a woman named Adrian Madelen Young. She had previously been Adrian Tyler, but at the young age of twenty she married a man named Kevin Young. At the time, Adrian was working on the police force in her small home town. She took some time off work when she became pregnant and had twins - two boys, Adam and Greg.

It wasn't until she got back from her leave that she was informed the higer-ups had a proposition for her - travel to TX-r headquarters for a seminar (of which the details were unknown) or lose her job. Not willing to be unemployed, she agreed to travel however far she needed for this unexplained seminar.

Well, it turns out it wasn't a seminar at all. Adrian underwent extensive operations and experiments. This was done against her will, but since she had agreed to the "seminar", she had agreed to suffer these terrible consequences.

When they were done with her, they explained what she had become. She was no longer a human, but a super-human. She was stronger, faster, smarter, even more cunning than the regular human. She now worked under TX-r as a weapon. She was allowed to return home, to be with her family, so long as she did whatever they asked of her. She didn't have a choice, so she agreed.

Just after finishing a mission one fateful day, Adrian Young had traveled to TX-r Headquarters to report on her mission. And then it happened - lightning struck, the electric force skittering through the building like an unstoppable beast. Equipment went haywire. Machines blew every circuit and even caught fire. Every human present died. ...Except, of course, for the super-humans.

Due to the ridiculous amount of energy released in the electrical surge, those who survived had become even less human than they were before. Adrian was no exception.

Though she had been unconcsience when the accident struck, she soon came around and noticed that her skin was... well, unhealthily orange. She skittered to the nearest shattered mirror and was in awe. Not only was her skin orange, but her torso was lined with gills. Her eyes had turned a deep, vivid orange, more bright than that of her skin. Her long brown hair was frazzled and burned, and it looked terrible. Her hands and feet had strange webbing between the fingers, and spines jutted out from either side of her wrists and ankles with webbing inbetween.

Since she could still breath, she quickly realized she wasn't aquatic - she was probably amphibious. She also quickly learned that the webbing and spines on her feet and ankles could retract (it was a painful process, but it kept them hidden well).

She was no longer a super-human weapon - she was a monster, a mutant.

She could never face her family like this. So, she cut her hair short and bleached it, so she was no longer recocnizable as Adrian. She removed her wedding ring (an emotionally painfull thing) and placed it on a chain to wear around her neck - to remind her of who she used to be. She vowed to never again go home, for she was an abomination. She was no longer to mother to her twins or the wife of her husband. She was no longer Adrian Madelen Young. So, she renamed herself - taking her initials, she became AMY.

She doesn't have some thirst for human blood, or even for vengence on TX-r, nor does she feel the need to protect humans like she did when she was on the police force. Instead, she spends her time hiding away from the world, hiding in lakes and ponds, only coming out when she feels the need to find a new location.

She is curious about the other mutants, and she has actually put forth some effort into finding them. So far, she has found no one.

And that is the story of AMY.

OTHER:
- Due to her obviously fish-like mutation, she has a terrible shrot-term memory. She needs to be re-taught new facts, numbers, names, etc. many times before she actually can learn or remember them.
- Even as a normal human, she has always liked to accessorize with cheap plastic headbands. Keeping that in mind, she still wears them frequently.
- Due to amphibious nature, she does have a second set of clear eyelids.
- Wears a bathing suit under cut-off jeans and a plain grey top, for maximum comfort in water and on land.
- Never wears shoes
