Today from 12:00pm - 8:00pm and
tomorrow from 10:00am - 8:00pm
I'll be selling art at the town of Petrolia's annual Art in the Park. The park is Victoria park, located infront of the VPP. Sadly, there's only about 30 artists this year, but luckily, that'll make it easier to find me then, eh? If I'm not mistaken my booth is in front of the cenotaph somewhere.
As well as Art in the Park, Petrolia is also having a bunch of other stuff going on. While we're selling art, a whole slew of local musicians and bands will be rockin' the band shell in the very same park we're selling art in. There's BBQs all around town, and I think even a parade at some point. See, Art in the Park is going on during Petrolia's Hard Oil Days, which is a huuuge event to celebrate the town's history (and what a fantastic history it has, I might add!).
Aaaanywho, I'm nervous and excited about this all at once. The nervous things have given me negative feelings; "what if I suck compaired to everyone else there?" "What if nobody wants to buy my art?" "What if my booth setup is completely plain and bland compaired to everyone elses?" (that last one is because just yesterday I saw a picture of last year's Art in the Park, and I'm thinking "damn, they went all out.)
I'm also excited - "Sweet, for once I can draw and sell whatever the hell I want!" "I'll be the only one there selling this style of art!" "They put one of my paintings on all the posters around town! FTW!" "I'm probably going to sell a helluva lot more than I did at the Faith Fairs!" (lol goes out to *
Tara-Willow on that one, because she knows how bad the Faith Fairs have flopped the last few years)
So yeah, so many extreme and mixed emotions has actually lead to a physical pain and tightness in my chest. It's annoying, it makes breathing more work than it should be. o_o Last time I was this excited and nervous it was my sister's wedding (which was only what, a month and a half ago?).
So yeah, interesting iiiinteresting things going on this weekend.

By the way, we're starting a new Amatsuki club at ~heavens-net. And we'd also like to have a dedicated cosplay section - which includes cosplay photography hints and tips. Would you be interested in contributing a small tutorial on how to take action shots for cosplay?
PS: this has nothing to do with Amatsuki - but I like your bad ass jedi drawing! very electric!

Love doesn't lead to the dark side. Passion can lead to rage and fear, and can be controlled, but passion is not the same as love. Controlling your passions while being in love, that's what they should teach you to beware, but love itself will save you

I gotta Burger King crown, and a pick-up line memorized.
